Default Plane suggestions for a TTPro .36

I started Flying last year with this engine on a 25 size midwest aerostar (RIP).
Now I'm flying a Tiger 60 (kit) with a TTPro .61, a Cherokee (arf) with an OS.46LA and a World models Sky raider High wing trainer with an OS55.

I'm looking for a winter project to use the TTPro .36 ???

Looking at a Viper ( a little under powered) or a Sonic ( a little over powered )

I'd love to put it on something scale, a warbird?

I dont see many options where I wont be underpowered with this engine ??

Love any suggestions..

a corostang (spad) or even a house of balsa 20 size p-51, that would be a hot plane!

If you want a kit to build over the winter, I would suggest finding an "old" 40 sized kit. From what I have seen, older 40 size planes are typically smaller than modern 40 sized planes. Right now I am finishing up an old Cox/Airtronics "Warlock" (bought from eBay) that I plan on putting my TT 36 in. It is a 40 sized plane, but is not even close to being as big or heavy as all my newer 40's. Also, consider that I have built a few modern 40 sized planes that flew great with an OS 40LA. The ball bearing TT 36 probably has more power than the 40LA. I suspect my 36 with fly the Warlock with authority. Best of luck!

Is coroplast the same thing as the real estate "for sale" signs I see in yards?
Its about 1/8" thick corrigated plastic

We print these signs at work and I would have a supply of it if its the same stuff. I've never seen a "SPAD".

There is a plethora of designs out there including ARF's that your engine is ideal for. And its getting more all the time with more and more electrics coming along that are ideal for your engine.

First off the Viper Q-500 used as a sport airplane would be perfect for your engine and certainly not be underpowered with it. Most rule book Q-500's fly well with 25's and many use them with that class engine as well as some clubs use 25 spec classes for Ama rulebook racing.

You said you are thinking scale or warbird and I take that to mean WARBIRDS, thats what most really mean when they say it like that and you know what There are a ton of warbirds out there that that engine would be perfect on all you gotta do is look and use a little imagination. I am also guessing when you say build is you are really talking about ARF's which of course you assemble, but hey nothing wrong with that.

Here are to of my little fun airplanes and they have been flying for four to five years now. First is the 'Messed-up-Schmidt' a Modeltech 109 arf sold by hobby people. Your engine would be fine and I intend to reengine this one with a new .OS 35AX (incidently a superb engine and I feel the best in this class) Its currently flying with an old FOX 25.

The Red one is a Modeltech Texan arf and on its third engine. First had a Fox 25 then it wore out an OS 25FX and now it flying wonderfully I might add with an OS 35AX. This still avalible and popular arf is still avalible from hobby people as an arf or Balsa USA as a kit.

These are just two examples of many 25 class airplanes avalible.

A Thunder Tiger Pro .36 is a nice, powerful engine. It should be able to produce power similar to the .46 LA you have on your Cherokee ARF. You can use it on most any .40-size ARF that doesn't require a heavy engine to balance the plane. It is similar in weight to the .40 LA/.46 LA and will work well on most any airframe that works well with those engines.

Pair your TT Pro .36 with a 9x7 prop for speed or a 10x5/10x6 prop for sport flying, and you could enjoy it on the nose of a:

-Hangar 9 Twist 40
-Hangar 9 Saratoga .40
-Hangar 9 Toledo Special
-Hangar 9 Pulse XT .40
-Hangar 9 Super Stick/Ultra Stik .40
-Hangar 9 Tango .40
-Hobbico Avistar
-Tower Hobbies Tower Trainer .40 MkII
-Hangar 9 Tribute .36 ARF
-World Models LA Racer .40 ARF
-GP Viper
-GP Escapade
-Phoenix Models Dolphin
-GP Dazzler
-Tower Hobbies Uproar .40
-Tower Hobbies Fun 51 kit
-Sig MidStar kit
-Sig Kavalier kit
-Sig Faser kit
-Sig Kougar kit
-Thunder Tiger Pitts 40 ARF
-Thunder Tiger Tiger Sport 40 ARF

There are a lot of other great choices, too many to list. Just think of your TT Pro .36 as a .40 ball bearing on a diet.
