More info!
Brand of ESC.
Any beeps?
Motor connected? If not, it will not work.
Check your radio and rx first without the speed control.

with some ESC's after the first beeps, you may have to move the throttle back and fourth to get the motor to work. Are any of the control surfaces working?

If your battery is charged then try to figure if the ESC or receiver is the problem, as Stuntpilot said. Remove the ESC and then connect a standard receiver battery to the receiver. If this work the binding and receiver is OK, and then you should check ESC for bad soldering etc.

You haven't mentioned if the TX and Rx work by themselves.
If it is and you have battery power, you either have a bad ESC or broken motor wire.
Check the motor windings.

Your throttle stick has to be all the way down when
you go to arm the esc. It should beep one time when
you plug in the battery. Then raise the throttle stick
all the way up,should beep again. Now lower the throttle
stick. It should beep one time for every cell you have
in your lipo. (#cells 3 beeps etc.)
Your bec in the esc may not be working also. You could
dis arm the bec and use a regular Rx pac to power the Rx.
Then the lipo is just for the motor.
Try reversing the throttle servo on the Tx again also.
Check to make sure the esc is plugged into the throttle channel
on the Rx again too

I have 2 E powered planes and use a seperate
Rx battery in both of them.
I would recomend you take the prop off, till you
figure out what is wrong.
Let us know what you find,
Bob

Chevy,
Look where the wires go into the motor they tend to break there, right where they go from large wire to the smaller coil windings.
The motor windings are the large coils of wire inside the motor, look at the ends where the wires exits the coil.
Peel the wrapper on the ESC and check those wires also, check for bulging or burnt components on the board.
It's leaning toward a bad speed control.
Me being a Chevy man I used to knock Ford, not any more, when you can weather this economic storm without a bailout, you've earned my respect.

Chevy,
You did verify with a meter that your lipo is putting out the correct voltage? Fully charged?
Can't rule out a bad lipo cell. If you lost a cell the speed control might not start.
How big is this plane?

Does the speed control accept 4 cell? Should say on the label.
Sounds like you need a balancer. should'nt have any bearing unless voltage is low.
If those are readings off your charger, that pack might have problems.
ESC might be reading as a 3 cell if voltage is low enough.

Hey yah the charger balances as well.. and the guy I got the plane from is sending a new battery today. so hopefully that will do the trick, haven't thought about it readin it as a 3 cell by mistake and not arming it.. that may be the problem
