Temps here are struggling to get out of the 30's during the day. Snow storm with more than 12 inches and high winds for tomorrow!! YUCKK!!!! Youngest son is supposed to fly into Philly tomorrow, that aint happening. trying to get his flight bumped up for today. Airline says philly is not in the danger zone for the storm. Well its the only one in the arear that isn't! HELLO check the weather forecast US Air!! They want an additnal 300.00 for him to change his ticket from tomorrow to today!! Along with health care the airlines industry needs an emema as well! unbelievable.

Yep....looking pretty bleek here for York, PA also. I was gonna' try to get out this weekend but that ain't happening. My mother-in-law was supposed to come down from Renovo, PA tomorrow and stay for Christmas this year because my twins are 1 this year...looks like that won't happen either. Oh well, I'll stop and get a case of beer tonight, fire up the snow blower and just sit and wait.

12" that's just right for floats. We've not had any real bad weather yet. Just cold. Be nice to have the son home for Christmas. I hope it is a very good one for you. What about the other son. Will he be home for Christmas also? You have a great Holiday.

Geeze you guys, hope Santa will be able to get through. If not, he can just drop your stuff here. I'll have plenty of cookies and milk for him.

Yeah, I hear ya, Bill. We here in Atlantic County, NJ woke up this morning to the snow threat for tomorrow, up to a foot or more along the coast. Jeech.. just what I needed to hear.
As far as the airlines is concerned, it's not just US Airways, it's all of them. They started charging for water last year, but the uproar from their frequent flyers forced them to change that atitude. Now, we can at least get water and soft drinks. I flew to Munich two weeks ago, I was in coach. When they served dinner, such as it was, there was a little foil wrapper that had butter in it. Well, they nuked the dinner to warm it up, but never took the butter off the tray. So, when I opened it, I got butter all over my shirt. Ah, so much for good service.
Hope your son makes it home on time and ok. Please thank them (and thank YOU, by the way) from all of us for their dedication and contribution to our freedom.

It's not just you folks in the Northeast. Atlanta has highs of around 40, lows below freezingand rain/sleet/snow forecast for the next few days with fairly high winds. 3 new planes all set to go and no weather to fly them in......

I don't consider it a good day unless I get some butter on my shirt at some point

There is a God, Airline got Matt a flight out today. Philly has been added to the danger zone list for the storm. So he now has a direct flight into Philly and will be on the ground at 19:30 (7:30 PM for you civilian folk) today!! No extra charge!

Reminds me of Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.
As a person who travels often for work, I am all too familiar with winter travel. It is unpredictable at best. I cannot blame the airlines.
On the other hand, snow storms make for good snowmobiling. I am a 4 seasons kinda guy...no ifs ands or buts about it. No complaints from me...be it snow, -15, or 90% humidity and 95.
