Merry Christmas All
New user here, We just got a super cub lp and are having trouble. There seems to be no connection between transmiter and reciever.
Batteries are installed correctly in transmitter and the unit beeps once when turned on. I assume this is normal?when installing the lipo into plane w/ transmitter turned on, we get no response from the control surfaces or the throttle. I am only connecting the blue EC3 connector as shown in instruction video. If I attempt to connet the charge lead to plane the engine races at full throttle?I am assuming this should not be connected for operation. Is this correct?Do I have a bad reciever or transmitter?
Thanks

When you turn on the transmitter, the beep once is correct. When you connect the battery for receiver, after a delay of a few seconds, there should be what I call the "handshake" song. That's when you know both Tx & Rx see each other. Are you giving the Rx a few seconds? Is the receiver battery fully charged?

When you say handshake song, is this an audible noise/beep etc?If so I am not getting any sort of sounds after connecting battery. all batts are charged, even tried newAA's in the tx

Yes, when you connect the battery to the receiver/esc, they program a little musical diddly into them to let you know things are correct. And you are turning on the Transmitter first then connecting receiver battery? I wonder if you can get to the receiver to check if the crystal is fully installed or even the crystal matches the transmitters frequency. I'm just thinking out loud of possible things to check

From the Horizon product page for the Cub. 27MHz 3-channel proportional

Then I would check if the servo-connectors are put in to the RX the right way.

Well it was DOA. took it back to hobbytown today and got a new one.
The kid did pretty good for first time out. I nearly smacked a tree.
Thanks for all the ideas

Great, glad to hear they replaced it with a working one. One of the guys at the local park had one and it flew pretty good in light winds. We even hand launched it when the wind wasn't matching the park walkway. He eventually lost it as a fly away maybe flying in too windy conditions. Would suggest you put your name and cell phone number on it for some cheap insurance. I do this to all my planes and actually got back my Radian that flew away on me. Good flights to you and your son. Have fun.
