joining wing halves

hi ,i have a low wing trainer kyosho calmato sport 40 ,is there any way i can secure the wing halves without glueing them the manual say's tape them but is there some kind of quick release bracket i can make or buy

I agree with Minn too a point. Do not forget to install the wing brace, it's an aluminum tube or a plywood brace that supports the wing halves. If that is not put in, your wings will fold like a piece of paper. Don't just rely on the wing bolts and dowels.

You really don't need to do anything. Just fuel-proof the center ribs and leave the tape off. The wing bolts and dowels will prevent the wings from separating

Like FLAPhappy said, as long as the wing tube is in place, the dowels and bolts will hold the wing halves together. It doesn't make much difference which plane it is.
That said, if your plane is designed to have a wing joiner glued in place, then you MUST glue the wing joiner in place.
This is not an easy method of CREATING a two-piece wing, it is a simple way to hold an existing two-piece wing together.
