Default how to dry fuel from balsa?

I was breaking in my engine on the plaen and then Iflipped it over, Iopen the carburator and guess what? Irealized that the inner side of the cowl wasn't fuel proof... the carburator spat a pretty amount of fuel on it.
I'm thinking on use some epoxy thinned with alcohol but I believe Ineed to take that fuel off the wood first...

Is it just the cowl? And I would have to assume that it is a wooden cowl. And does the cowl come off?

If so, remove the cowl and give it a good dousing with denatured alcohol. I would give it at least 3 applications.

You could also dump in some cornstarch between applications to soak out the oil as the alcohol dries

Yea, just hold it nose down and inverted and littereally pour some alcohol in there. Let it sit a few seconds, pour out the excess and fill with cornstarch. Lay it inverted for an hour or so, brush out the starch and repeat

K2R carpet spotter, spray it on, dust off the resulting foam when it dries, two or three shots will pull most or all of the oil out.

You can try acetone this will get all the oil out but it might attack your paint or your covering.

Acetone will desolve ca glue. The previous methods alcohol/cornstarch or KR2 are fine.
Then there is the SYLVESTER approach (bury it in cat liter) We HIGHLY recomend the fresh stuff though. It actually absorbs the oil very well.
