I'd give you feedback, but I did the review!!!!!
I've said most of it in the review, but I'll add on here too. I've got more flights on the engine since the review and so far so good. I'm loving this little engine. It's a great little engine, especially when you consider it's pretty close to half the price of an OS. I have this engine on my Escapade and I've kept it there after the review was over. I love the performance I get from it on that plane!!!
Let me know if you have any questions about it, I'll be more than happy to answer them.

I may try one on my H-9 Denight Special. I've always ended up disappointed whenever I buy a low cost engine and always end up replacing them with OS. The review looks promising though so it won't hurt to at least try it.

Chuck,
I'm the same as you in the past. And I'll be the first to admit that I'm still holding my breath as to what may happen with this engine. But so far I've been running the snot out of it and it's holding in there just fine. Trust me, if problems do arise with it I'll be the first to let everybody know. But I figure for the cost of $79 it's a pleasant little find!!!!

Here is my limited experience with these engines. Mind you I am only a couple years into airplanes but have been flying helicopters and driving nitro trucks for over 5-7 years.
My JBA is a .46. I bought this from a guy at a fun fly. I Put it in my nexstar. I flew three flights with it with no issues and seemed pretty nice. But after that I can not get it to stay running pointed up in the air. It idles..sometimes when I throttle it to the max it stalls and wont run pointed up. Mind you we have not really given it a fair shake since then as I stopped by the hobby shop and picked up an OS so I could fly the next day as I needed the practice. So It sits on the shelf for now. Might be the carb swallowed something in the air...not sure.
I may look this engine over again tonight and see If I can find the issue. But the first 3 flight were fine. The engines look well made too.

That being said, the JBA may be the engine for you; it just depends what you expect from the engine you buy.

right now i am just flying and about to start the basic rolls and loops no 3d or anything right now... i saw that the .91 weight was the same as the .75 was thinking about puting it on the extra 300s

Which extra 300S. I think every major manufacturer makes there version of this plane. A link to the one you are refering to may be helpful.
Since Ken only reviewed the JBA .56 you could not give the other sizes a fair assesment based on one engine in the lineup. It might be like judging all of OS's engines based on your experience with the OS .40 LA.

The Seagul Extra 300 75 sizes are a bit of a handfull. I had one with an OS .91fx and a 15x4w APC. It was a balistic missile but put it into too tight of a turn and it would snap and go into a spin. This is not bad but it is realistic. a .90 sized two stroke is a lot of fun in that plane but far more than it needs. If the weight penalty from a .75 two a .91 is negligable (withing an ounce or two on a plane this size) then go for it.
Just remember this plane is not going to be your relaxing Sunday flier. It will take skill and concentration. Should you get into a snap/spin with this plane resist the urge to pull back on the elevator. Let the controls neutralize and add power until it starts flying straight (usually straight down so I hope you have altitude). The ease back on the elevator and regain composure. I sold my Seagull Extra to a club member who lost it from a 200 ft snap and a panicked full up elevator death grip. This reaction while natural is wrong and lead to a 200 ft spiral of death. Properly managed the plane could have been recovered in about 40ft of altitude loss.

Am mounting a 1.20 in a Velox Revolution II. Will mount it inverted and am looking for an in-cowl inverted muffler for it. The engine started right up in the test stand with the recommended 15x8 prop. Seemed very steady with good transition, etc. Did not tack it but if it performs well in this application, will be very pleased, especially for the price. 3.1 hp for $90 on eBay can't be beat. Will let everyone know how it turns out.

Ed Moorman, an engine reviewer for RC Report, started an excellent thread a while back concerning the very same JBA .56 that RC Ken just reviewed:

I bought a JBA .56 and shipped it to Ed to test, then he bought one for himself shortly after. I'm very happy with mine and wouldn't hesitate to buy more JBA 2-strokes in the future.
