Default futaba 7c Transmitter...

i have a futaba 7c radio and i am in need of up dating the battery in the transmitter the factory batt is only 600 mah and i need more if i go to the field allday i endup haveing to charge it two to three times does anyone have any sugestions

switch battery chemistry to nimh instead of nicd you can likely get a 2000 mah pac

sounds like your battery has had it......you can go with a bigger capacity battery....Li Ion batts seem to hold a charge forever...good luck

lipo's do last long I think the lipo battery for your reciever is typically 2500 mah and the nimh is 2000 but you will need the added expense of a different charger for the lipo.

BBrown I have the same radio. Changed the battery to a 1450 nimh lasts all day.

instead of buying a 50 dollar battery buy a 7 dollar one, works just as well for way cheaper
ive been useing this battery in my 7c and 10c for over a year, lasts quite a while, id guess around 10 hours maybe more.

I have a Futaba 10C and I replaced the supplied 700mah battery with a HydraMax 1650mah NiMh battery. I got it from Tower Hobbies and it works great. I fly several planes from the same transmitter and never have to charge at the field.

Try Batterys Plus. They will build you one using the lead off of the old battery. Dennis
