I am going to install 2- 2700 Milliamp batteries in a plane. I want to also install dual switches, one for each battery. Doe's the battery have to be a certain distance from the RX? I am using a JR 9 CH, with one main, and 2 remotes RX"s. Also can the batteries be stacked, one on one protected with foam rubber and tied down or do they need to be how far apart? Need some input. Thanks

They can be taped together, it does not matter if they are both for the RX, if one was for the IGN then I would have them seperated.

What plane is this for? What engine are you using?

The plane is the Giant Gee Bee Y sportster. The engine is a Saito 150 I am using all hi torque digital servos on the control surfaces.

The batteries can be right on top of each other... you could even hot-glue them together and just pad the entire thing when you mount it. You can put the batteries as close to the Rx as you like - just make sure the two satellite Rx's are as far from the main and each other as possible, and the 3 antennas are all oriented on different planes for maximum redundancy.

You can pack the batteries on top of each other as long as you don't fast charge them. Normally you wouldn't fast charge receiver batteries, but if you plan to you might want to separate them.

Never charge Nixx batteries in parallel. Make sure that you can charge them individually or in series. This probem complicates the wiring and switches a bit, usually meaning a switch on each battery and a charge plug for each battery.
