I bought the SpectrumDX6i, and the only binding plug was a male plug unlike the one showed in the manual with both male and female plugs. I am building a model and originally figured out a way to bind. However I needed to repair something, therefore I disconnected everything and when I put it back together the bind was lost. I have reviewed other threads on this however the receivers seem to bind and the LED'sgo solid, however no servo action is detected whatsoever. Does this seem like a bad receiver, which does not offer any signal to the servos?

I would apreiate any help possible.

Did you attempt to re-bind the receiver? If not, try that and see if it works for you.

If it binds like my DX-7, put the bind plug in the batt. slot on the rx, hook the battery into any open slot, it should start blinking. Push the bind button on the tx and then turn it on. It may take a second for the bind to take place, but when the rx light goes solid you have a successful bind.

Good suggestions already given above...Watch one additional thing...Sometimes, if your TX is TOO CLOSE to your RX...you will have problems. Be sure that your TX is five or ten feet away from the RX when you try to bind. Rich

thanks for the reply's; I have attempted to re-bind various ways, which the lights on the rx blink fast and appears to bind, the lights then go solid.  However no juice or controls are going to servos at all.....  I have also tried standing away from the rx 10 feet or so with the same problem.   </p>

One other question; if the receiver is unplugged from the battery does this lose the bind?</p>

No, sometimes I store mine in baggies after I have removed them from a plane. When I reinstall, it is still bound as long as I have selected the proper model match.

After you unplug the battery from the receiver, make sure to power off the DX6i. Then turn the TX back on again before plugging in the receiver battery.

If the TX is bound to the RX and remains powered on when you unplug/plug the RX battery, then when you power on the RX again, you'll get the quick blinking light in the RX signaling a brown out recovery.

Boy, someone says Spektrum and everyone goes straight for the "how to bind" without answering any questions.

You say that you have the rx bound to the tx and due to the solid light, I would say you're correct. I'm wondering, are you sure that you have the servo wires plugged in correctly and not reversed? In other words, if the servo wires plug into the top of the rx, are the black leads of the wires towards the outside of the rx or towards the inside? Be sure that the black wire is towards the outside of the rx. If it is, I would at least consider changing out the rx if you have a spare to see what, if any difference that makes. It is possible that the rx is bad.

One to the battery disconnect............no, disconnecting the battery should not cause the rx to loose bind.

I had the same problem as boogity is describing, and the fix was what pdm spoke of. Servo wires were plugged in backwards.

Yep sounds like that to me also. Servos plugged in backwards. If the light is solid it should be good to go.
