Default RE: On board Glow driver

That's a dang good idea!! The one I set up had a couple wheel collars on the throttle linkage. The linkage was a 2/56 rod run next to a micro switch. The wheel collars would push the switch at anything below 1/3 power.

I made my own on board glow driver with micro switch attached to throttle servo to actuate at 1/4 throttle or less, & separate on-off switch. When I got it all finished even a "D" cell would not make the plug red. I used 22 guage wire for entire setup. After confirming with meter that all was good, I put 2 "C" cells to make 2.4 volts. Switch works great now & plug glows nicely. My question is will this voltage burn up the glow plug? Left it on for about three mins with no problem.
