knife edge flight adjustments
I maidened my U-Can-Do today. In knife edge flight it has a tendancy to drift or pull in a circle towars the bottom of the plane, requireing up elevator to fly straight I am assuming I need to move both ailerons up to correct that, does that sound right?

That's actually backwards. Reflexing your ailerons up will make it push to the belly more. You are probably tail heavy. Try moving your CG forward a little and retrim for straight and level.

Copied from here:
http://nsrca.us/all/flying/177-trimchart.html
Either move CG forward; or decrease wing incidence; or mix up elevator with rudder.

RE: knife edge flight adjustments
I am at the forward end of the cg limit if anthing id like to move it back. I may try the mix if the aileron adjustment doesn't work, I don't like the mix idea due to the fact I would not want the mix in other flight configurations and I'm big on throwing a switch just to knife edge.
I'm sure jester_s1 is right in that I have it backward on the direction of aileron adjustment but the physics behind it are confusing me.

If your CG is correct...then an elevator/rudder mix will work.....Leave it on all the time...in other words don't make a knife switch on your transmitter....you'll forget to turn it on and will be chasing your airplane again.
If you mix rudder with elevator you will never know it in the rest of your flight modes.....I didn't believe it either...but I mixed a couple of weeks ago and it is great..,.,
Good Luck
PS It's hard to explain...but I always preached fly the airplane with your thumbs...but some airplanes need a mix and or expo.....so I have lived and learned and can now roll my Python add rudder and fly a straight knife edge

Which one do you have? I had the .46 which was pretty neutral. The stab on the 46 is lower than the 60 and big one. I know the 60 has some coupling issues at the limits. The big one I have only seen fly a couple of times by a beginner, so It was straight and level all the time.
