hey guys, I was at my local flying field yesterday for my first real training lesson. I didnt get to fly my plane yet, every trainer starts out on the club provided trainer and when you get the basics of that down you will be able to fly your plane and get accustomed to that. Anyway my trainer got it up in the air for me and then gave it over to me and only took it back once in the very beggining. We flew about 3 flights and he only took it when he was taking off and landing, He told me for a bigginer i have a good touch and i'll be a fun one to teach. Man that is such a confidence builder to me. I got to fly full throttle on the last flight which most trainers go up gradually....I did it first lesson!!! he even taught me how to do a loop. :surprised:
Man i was pumped!!! :bananahea he said i'll probably be soloing by the end of August!
Just thought i'de tell you about my story, man it feels good to hear an experinced guy say he's impressed, its a real confidence booster.
P.S. I'm not trying to sound cocky saying this all happened in one lesson, or that im better than someone els cause im sure there are trainers better than me............... but im sooooooo siked!!!!!
LOL
thanks guys( i probably wouldn't be near the place i am without the helpful and positive threads for you guys!)

good job, but you will probably be soloing by next week, unless you only do one flight per week. ask him if you can try some approaches next time, then just fly one a little too low and touch

Congratualtions! End of August.... It sounds like your instructor is one who will teach you well. You MIGHT be able to solo sooner, but take advantage of what this guy has to teach you.
Flying is so much more than taking off and landing, but guys today are so anxious to say "I soloed" that they don't learn all the other stuff. (Like rudder control!

Congrats on your first flights!
I am also pretty new. I have now flown a total of 9 flights and today I did my first landing on the 7th flight. On the 8th flight I took off for the first time, and on the 9th I took off and landed 3 times. I know your excitment. I still have alot to learn (as the other folks mentioned) with the rudder, but I'm loving this hobby more and more every time I go to the field
Cheers,
