How can I determine the electric requirements to replace a big glow engine like a OS 1.20? Is this even feasable?

Hi,

Yes, there are many that will work.
All of these motors will need to operate on about 30 cells.

Good luck!

Can you recommend a good vendor? What size cells would you use to do this?

The decision often depends upon the model size and structure. The MEGAMax is also a direct drive solution so there is no gearbox involved and it can fit in some models better...again, depending upon the model.

I would use either the Sanyo CP2400SCR cells or the Sanyo HR-SC2600 NiMH cells.

Try giving Tom Cimato a call to discuss your needs at 716-662-5651. He can often clear up your questions.

You can also e-mail him here: MaxCim Motors
