How many amp will this draw
I bought a speed 480 (long can speed 400) and a 3:1 gearbox and 10x7 APC slow flier prop. Can anybody tell me if my 20A esc will be able to handle this. In the past I only use direct drive speed 400 with small prop eg 5x5 with no problem. What happen if the motor draw too much current and burn the esc, will the esc still deliver power to RX and servos?

RE: How many amp will this draw
That setup will draw nowhere near 20 Amps. Maybe 15, if you use a 10-cell pack.
If you burn out the ESC, it may or may not continue to power the servos. Depends on how hot the fire got, and whether or not it burned out the BEC regulator.

Thank you for the information. I use 8 cell 800 mah and 1050 Kan pack.
If in the future I use direct drive with 5x5 prop with my other plane will that still be okay?

I'll be using the motor setup for Scorpio Miss Acro plane. It's quite a big plane for speed 400 the wing is 1.38 meter and weight 900 grams. Hopefully I have a good sucess with the setup. I am waiting for the gearbox etc to arrive from Japan (aircraft-world).
