Default Can't get my 400 motor to run . . .

Hi.

I just got the Global/Wattage Wild Cat setup, and I've gotten all the servos to work with the radio - I've been flying nitro for seven years now - but for some reason the motor won't spin. This is my second electric, so I know a little about them. I bought all the recommendations in the instruction book, so they should work together. Any ideas?

Thank you.

is your throttle control trim adjustment on its loweston your transmitter?? some esc like gws won't run until controls start at 0 throttle for safety.

It could be as simple as a faulty speed control.

No, but I'll try that tonight.

The red light is flashing on the ESC, if that means anything.

If you're using a Futaba transmitter, You'll need to reverse the throttle channel. A good idea is to leave the prop off till you get it working right. I found out the hard way when the motor took off at full throttle when I reversed the channels. These electrics are more dangerous than than fuel engines, as far as the prop goes. Fuel engine will stop if the prop hits anything. Electric won't stop even when theres nothing left of the prop. Also the props are much sharper as far as skin goes.

I put my throttle trim all the way down, and guess what? - it works! Also, it's true that you should try this without the prop on, because it just went full tilt immediately.

Thanks for everyone's help.
