Question
Hi all,
I am a relatively new flyer, i have only had 2 planes, both made of foam and both RTF or ARTF. My current plane, JAMARA PIPER CUB J3, is 3ch. There is no throttle control, just on/off. my question is: would it be possible to put an electronic speed controller in, an therefore have throttle control from the handset?

RE: Question
Yes, if your transmitter has a throttle control on it and your receiver has a throttle plug. If it's a 2 channel radio it won't work. Don't know what your amp draw is, but probably a 10 or 20 amp speed control (esc) would work. You connect the motor wires from the esc to the motor and the two battery wires to the motor battery. The other connection plugs into channel 3 or throttle channel on the receiver. No receiver battery is needed.
