Hi Guys,
I'm going to be using an AXI 2826/12 (not sure what prop yet--suggestions welcome) for a 72" Piper Cub conversion. I have a 14.8V Lipo battery (4S/3100mah); I'm trying to avoid moving up to a Jeti 70A. The question is, can I get away with a 40A esc? I plan on cruising leisurely with this plane (1/2 throttle or less if I can), but will this 14.8V battery over tax the 40A esc? Thanks!

They actually recommend the 40 amp Jeti. At Hobby Lobby the 2826/12 is packaged with the Jeti 40 amp in a combo deal. I think you will be fine. If you have a watt meter you may want to hook it up and see how much throttle you can get before you start pushing that 40 amp mark. With the right prop combo, you should be good to go. Maybe an 11x6 or 12x6 prop.

Do you think a 12x6 prop is a good prop for a 72" cub? Again, I'm just going for scale flights, no acro.
