Default wrong programer on thunderbird esc

I accidently put my thunderbird-18 in a different programmer, by the time i found that out,
the programmer-display was stuck at "reading"
now the esc does not work nor does it make any beep sounds when connecting the battery.
it only put the right voltage out for the receiver.

my question is:
will castle link re-program the esc? or should i buy a new thunderbird insted of castle link?
