Kv and prop size relationship help
If I were to compare these two motors and everything else being equal same ESC and Battery and my goal was to have a faster flying airplane(850g) for example:
SK35-42 1250kv: Prop Size 8*7,9*5,10*4 650w output
SK35-42 1000kv: Prop Size 10*6, 11*5, 13*8 630w output
The 1250kv motor with the 8x7 prop would be faster in theroy correct? But a larger prop with more thrust would be better for shorter take offs, flying slower and not stalling on turns is that correct or am I confused?

RE: Kv and prop size relationship help
You have it correct - for the same power-in, bigger diameter/lower pitch generates more thrust at the cost of lower speed: smaller diameter/higher pitch gets you more speed but lower thrust. A higher Kv motor is better suited to a smaller prop (for speed), than a lower Kv motor.
