I've got the pull start on my os 12cv but i was wondering if you can still use something like an airplane starter with a doughnut to start the engine? I think i remember hearing not to do that somewhere a while back, but since you're just turning the flywheel, which spins already, it should be safe right? Thanks for the help!

As long as you spin it the correct way as Tjnmt said you will be fine, if you spin it the wrong way to will thrash your pull start and possably one-way bearing, and the motor wont start either. Just rember to make shure the doughnut is mounted very good to the starter, glue it and bolt it if possable, they realy fly across the room if they come loose and hurt bad[:@] Yes I know first hand LOL
