I have a savage X with a F4.6 engine. Half throttle and off jumps it flames out. I have installed a new plug. MC8 med/cold plug and running 20% nitro. Seems no matter how I tune the truck it will stall/flame out. You can hear it in mid throttle before it stalls and right off jumps it just dies. Is my plug too cold?

I assume that you also checked your clutch, but even the best of us sometimes overlook that when trouble shooting. Have yoou inspected the clutch and clutch bell? Maybe it is engaging way too soon or the shoe springs (or at elast one of them) might have boken such that one shoe is engaging the bell.
This is my first guess.

I took the engine out earlier to check things over and the clutch is trashed. The Bell has a nice groove in it and the shoes are worn. Not sure why sometimes it would stall and sometimes it would not. I figured if the clutch was bad it will stall all the time but it did seem to get worse. I think maybe It was a combination of plug being too cold and clutch wear. It ran great last weekend with no problems at all then this weekend the stalling came up.
