Default engine temp problem?

ok...someone plz explain to me
from reading all the forums on net....i saw lots of ppl said keep your engine under 270 or 260f
but
i have a kyosho GS15R and GS21R...
both engines will like to run around 280 to 300f...and still got lots of blue smoke..
if i tune it around 240 to 260...they run kinda slow....
so should i keep it around 280f?
or these engine meant to be run SLOW?...@_@

thanks

Check for leaks, you might want to lower nitro % or raise the head by adding a shim or two. Maybe try a colder plug.

Well, go ahead and seal the engine any ways. (it can't hurt) I have an engine that likes to run around 240 and its not sealed, then one that likes to run at 260 - 270 and the back plate and where the carb meets the case is sealed (then I sealed the carb it self, the needles with RTV and green slime) then I have a engine that likes to run at 280 - 310 and it has the back plate and where the carb goes in to the case sealed.

I'm running 30% but about to drop to 20% or 15%
