Default Hot glow plug in an 8.0?

I'm looking at the spare glow plugs the guy at the LHS sold me for my MGT 8.0 and I'm not sure if they're right... Everything I have read says the bigger the engine, the cooler the plug, no? And he sold me a handful of OS LC3's... Now according to the OS website, the LC3 is a "long reach" (whatever that means), hot plug designed for the Traxxas TRX 2.5 or other 1/10 scale engines... Should I even try to use these in an 8.0? I'm worries that too hot of a plug in this engine might lead to detonation and possibly damage my piston...??

Is anyone here running an 8.0? What plugs would you fellas recommend?

Thanks for your help!

Im running a Mccoy MC 55 or MC59. Both are hot and runs just fine. If you are worried then go with a med plug.

Ok, thanks. I think I'll give them a try.
