Default could a plug do this?

I'm running a 2.5 T-maxx. At start the thing starts and runs great. After a couple of hot laps it starts to bog. Sometimes to the point where it won't even move. I have tried about every setting possible on both needles. I have taken the tank off and checked for air leaks. I've sealed the carb and checked the exaust gasket. Replaced the OWB with a new one and checked the seals in the rear. I am getting a little worried that if I keep running like this it is going to mess up the engine. I can get everything right on it but take-off. When it bogs, if I give it a push it will go and run fine. Just don't stop. I know the temp of a plug basicly sets the timing on these and was thinking that may be the problem because it acts like a car with the timing retarded way to far. I am using a O'Donnell OD077 plug and Byrons 20% race fuel. I don't think it is fuel because my sons 3.3 runs fine on the same fuel but I don't know which plug he is using and he ain't coming off it to let me try it. Some thing about "Mine runs fine, leave it alone" Could I have a plug problem? And which should I try next.

How much time on the engine? It sounds like it is worn out.

I don't know how much time is on it because I bought it used. I do know can feel a slight pinch at TDC at least I could the last time I took it off to replace the OWB. I took and replaced the fuel lines to see if it would make any difference and made them as short as possible. I still have a little bog but not as much. So I got to thinking that may be it is a pressure problen. I have a resignator pipe on it and I know nothing about them either. It is made by Traxxas and has the number 5483-b-sc-r on it. I guess I am pulling at straws but really don't want to think I have a wore out engine. This engine really screams at top-end and does good mid-range. Just take-off sucks. I am running it on ice and snow right now if that makes a difference.

What is the engine temp?

Sounds very very very much like the clutch spring has let go, or untensioned itself, thus locking your engine (or trying to) with the transmission system so you are always technically in "gear". I can't see what else it could be.

I was just thinking the same thing. The spring in it was stretched out and was pulling all the time. I shortened it and thought it would be O.K. Now I am re-considering that. If I had another spring I would try it. I was thinking that the spring may have gotten weak and stretched and when I shortened it, it is still to weak. May-be shorten it some more? Man I wish I had some more springs. Add another item to the list. As for the temps, that is kinda hard to tell. There is alot of snow here and I am constantly getting it on the engine. I don't think the temp gauge I have is picking the temp up right because it is always reading low. I know the engine is hotter than the gauge says.

Possibly buy a new clutch all together. I had a similar problem with "bogging down" in the low end due to using low percentage nitro (10%), but the mid and high range was fine. And yes I realise your using 20%.
