Default 40% Extra 300 Rebuild FINISHED!

Hello all, I just got finished with my Carden Rebuild. I have been working on this project for about 5 months. When I got this bird it was in pretty bad shape, the rudder, motor-box area, and hatch were all destroyed. The fiberglass was all new, and the wings (front and back) were in good shape. I think it might have been easier to build one from the kit than to strip, resand and refinish. I am quite pleased with it though. From the outside you would have a hard time knowing that it had a previous life. It belonged to a guy in Massachusetts and was originally built by J&M Models (Jim Short). I still have the mufflers to put in and baffles, and wax/buff the paint. I hope to fly it this weekend. I wanted to have it done for the IMAC season but it didn't happen, so half of the season will have to do. The weight is right at 39lbs. I have equipped it with Jr 8611a's and Fromeco Batts and two 649 Receivers. The power-plant is a DA 150 with Mej 28.5X12 3 blade prop. I don't 3D so it is my new primary IMAC ship. Here are some pics.

Terrific job, nice work on keeping the weight down on a rebuild. Who's plane was it originally?
