Default cen mt2 fuel

hey all, i have been reading allot on here about fuel mixture.and i can't seem to find the answer i am looking for.
I have a stock cen mt2 and it runs great. i use traxxas top fuel 20% nitro. And i tuned the carb.
by the book the best i could.i have No temp guage SO i spit test. the engine is NOT to hot, on the spit test.
but i am getting NO SMOKE at all. after i run, there is however oil in the pipe. is this bad, do i need to rich up the fuel ?

yenko,

The oil coming out of the pipe is entirely normal. This is just excess oil that has not been burned in the engine. It is nothing to worry about. In fact from your description it sounds like you can lean out your engine a bit more. You will then notice less oil coming out of your pipe. The "stock" recommended settings are: Top end: 3 turns out. Bottom end: flush. Thanks for your question yenko.

Regards,

No smoke coming out of the pipe could be a sign that your running too lean. But as you described your engines not getting hot so I would just go with it. Your running Traxxas fuel which isnt my favorite but it should be fine. Different fuels will product more or less smoke because of the oils used and different combinations of castorl and synthetics.
