Ok. I went out to drive my MT2 today, and try to get the irritable throttle problem fixed, and I found the problem. When the car isn't even running, but the batteries are plugged in and the switch is on, if you tap in the battery/receiver box the throttle servo goes nuts. It makes the throttle act irradically and makes the steering jittery. When the car is running, the vibration (I assume) from the engine makes the problem MUCH worse and the car is seemingly stuck on full throttle until you kill it, then the servo goes back to the "neutral" position.
Why would this be doing this? It does it whether the transmitter (controller) is on or off, and I know the batteries are good b/c they are brand new and fully charged.
Is it the servo that is bad?
When I have my failsafe hooked up the throttle won't even work. There is no interference that I know of since there are not any other R/C's around. (I am on a college campus)
ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED!!!!

if it is the receiver, will CEN send me a new one, since this car has a total of maybe 1 hour of run time on it. I mean, I have barely put 10 or 15 tanks of gas through it.

u could ask them what they think the prob might be and if no solution then they should send u a new one - if they have a warranty of any sort. u will have to send ur old one back i would have thought tho.
do u or any mates have any radio gear u could try in the same spot - or do u have problems anywhere that u take ur car? try a different crystal maybe? i have been lucky with radio probs, so thats all i can suggest.....other than throwin it all in the bin and buying a decent aftermarket one, with uprated servos - better steering and throttle reaponse from higher torque/higher speed servos. good if u got the cash

I replaced my CEN radio gear with a futaba dash sabre controller & servos. My steering servo packed in, every time I turned left the steering would stick that way and make this sad clicking noise. I got a new one for £11 and it was perfect.
