cheers - good to know that it just works - its all a bit new to me...
i just swapped my cen clutch over onto the os engine, no probs.
dont know about the shell fitting with the wheels yet, when i offered it up roughly in place it looked like a lot of cutting was required. i dont want to chop that shell up really, so i may well go for a electric stadium truck shell, or a different take on the schlesser body.

Not sure what happened to my link. Got it at first no problem but without the pictures, then tried again using the link but it wouldn't load so I typed in the page address directly and it came up as "page can not be displayed". Just not my day I guess![

nice one, cheers for the feedback guys. it must have been the gif files i put at the top - very pretty but 4.5mb each - oops i missed that... sorted now tho
like i said, i will try to link all the pics to the full size ones. i had a nightmare finding out all the stuff that i have put up on the site, i sure wish i had had one i could just breeze thru - lol, just gotta figure out how to update it without too much messin about now.
yea its all gonna evolve into a kinda mt2, maybe build up the rally on the centre diff chassis, but with 1/8 buggy wheels as i have nearly all the other bits. the jt chassis would work better as a mt, i think. i would need another engine tho... hmmm what to do, eh...?

I have been toying with the idea of getting a new engine. Reckon I will go for the new nt3.0 and put that in the JT, build up the second chassis and reunite it with the old nt.16 and flog the o.s. .15cvr because I am sick of lugging that damn starter box round. Got to phone Irvine tomorrow to find out availability of the nt3.0. Wish me luck!

id be tempted to look abroad for an engine tbh - tower hobbies in the US, or some company in honk kong perhaps.

The engines are amazingly cheap over in the States but the last three things I have had sent over have been spotted by customs and I have been hit with the added charges. Apparently you are less likely to be taxed by customs when it arrives from Hong Kong. Not really sure why that is though.

Judgement, the last picture I see on your page you are taking measurements of the front driveshaft CVD (whatever they are called). Are you trying to find out if there are any compatible non-CEN replacements?

oh yea, i forgot to mention that on the site.
i found these [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGPE8&P=7]shafts[/link] on tower hobbies site. the cen shafts are listed as 88mm, iirc, so i was after the dimensions that i have shown on my site, but from the hpi shafts, not the cen, to see if the shafts would work.
i hope that makes sense there mate... i figured it was worth a shot asking, as i have no decent lhs here to go and browse around. trouble is, u try asking a hpi owner for help when u have got a cen...
anyway -if anyone can give me the dimensions of that shaft, as indicated on my site, i would appreciate it
cheers for pointing it out sschuler

I am right there with you. No LHS carries CEN. I luv the truck, but I hate waiting for parts. If I could find a substitue, I would be thrilled! It seems like CEN is the only brand I can't find... ugh

It doesn't look like that one includes a threaded shaft for the wheel to connect to. Is that something that you have to order? I know I should ask someone else that question. I wish a savage owner would help. Wishful thinking
