hi peadbo,
I have this radio for a week now on my genesis. I did one ride with it and was very pleased. You have a lot of settings which make it a lot easier to do your setup and no glitching anymore. But I have one problem with it, I can't use the (orange) failsafe from cen anymore. Because when I touch the steering wheel it just went crazy. Still have to figure out what the problem could be. As for the servo I don't know, mine came without it. But I can tel you that I can turn my wheels while it stands still, and that is with the stock servo's. I'm using a 6v humppack. Hope this helps.

ok thanks alot, ill get it without the servo, it probably wouldnt make much of a difference from the stock anyways, as for hump pack i was using alkaline batteries till my chargeables charged up and there is just no turning power to the wheels, Im not gonna bother with a hump pack, since i have so many chargeables, i saw some of those hump packs, and was looking at the ratings, they were like 1100mah- 1900mah etc, i've got 5 2500mah AA batteries, ill go to radioshack and see if i can find a single battery holder and i'll just splice it in ( if it wont fit then ill splice it in from the topside. Thanks for your response you saved me some $$ with not wasiting my time with the futura that has the servo.

For what it's worth - I added the JR Pro, plus a heavy duty servo for steering and a hump pack. One cool thing is I can charge my controller and hump pack with the same plug - plus the steering is 100 times better - decided not to install the 4-wheel steering kit - but a heavy duty steering servo is highly recommended.....Also, I had to remove the failsafe when I replaced the controller - they don't work well together - seems to be a common issue - too much glitching.... will probably add a Venom failsafe in the near future - good investment to protect your ride....

Hey thanks alot guys i went ahead and bout the radio, i have a black failsafe with this gene, so im going to see if i can hook it up with it, im going to move the steering servo to the throttle and put the futaba 124 oz servo on the steering, im just hoping its strong enough to turn them big wheels, i know its considered to be a slow servo but as long as it does the job better than the stock servo i will be happy.
As far as what i decided about getting 6 volts i mounted a 1 aa battery holder to the back of the steering servo and spliced it into the radio, there wasnt any room in the battery compartment so anyways now i have 6 volts @ 2500 mah running the receiver and servos, heres a pic of it if anyones interested and a diagram of how i did it for those who are unsure
