Default Starting a Cen ST

Alright I got a CEN ST on ebay a couple weeks ago and tried to start it and then tried again and again and again... coudn't get it running... I don't know if it is something I am doing or the truck has something wrong with it... on the description when i bought it said it only had 10 tanks run through it but that might not have been true... The glow ignighter is charged and i checked the glow plug and it glowed bright white so no problem there... Any advice??? I am not really used to a pullstart b/c i have a EZ start on my S-Maxx and my other rc is electric (rc18t) so i could be doing something wrong but don't know what... I followed the directions exactly... Please help don't know what to do I may get a new engine but don't really want to go down that road[:'(]

Have to look a few few things. First you want to take your carb to defaults. Go flush on the low speed needle and 3 1/2 turns out on high speed. set the idle so that the carb is open at least 1.5mm. Then make sure you are primed. Is fuel getting to the carb? When you tug on the pull start, do you get resistence? If not, you have a lack of compression, which means you need to check for an air leak or your piston and sleeve need to be replaced. after tugging on it for a while, pull the plug and turn the truck upside down and pull the starter a few times. Did fuel come out? If not, you are not getting fuel in the engine. You may also need to see if the clutch is good. Set the truck on a block of wood so the the wheels aren't touching the ground. When you try to start, do the wheels spin? If they do your clutch is whacked. Does the enigine even sputter? If you can get it that far, you aren't far from getting it running, it just may take some adjustments. Maybe just a slightly higher idle.

I set the needles how you said- 3.5 turns out on high and flush on low... the compression is fine, i get plenty of resistance... I also primed the engine... Also fuel did come out when I tipped it upside down and pulled the pull start... The wheels did not turn when I pulled the start and put it on a block.... So it passed your evaluation and still dosn't come close to starting (dosn't sputter)... Any other ideas??? This is kind of frustrating!!! [:@][] Also their is no LHS around here that sells anything cen so i can't bring it their any other ideas of someplace i could ask??

Pull the head off and look to see if the piston moves if not it is the one way bearing

A few more things to try out. You didn't mention that you checked out your idle. Look at the carb throat and make sure you can see at least a 1.5-2mm gap. Also try leaning the low speed by 1/4-1/2 turn.
