I am having a problem with my FunFactor. Everytime I run this truck it breaks with-in 10-15 min. Not to mention after it breaks, I have to wait 2-3 weeks for the parts. The first time I ran it after breaking it in, I broke the front tie rod end on the right side I then got smart and ordered 4 sets of the parts and waited for about 2 weeks. Then I broke the front wheel hub the stupid thing is that when I jumped it off the curb it didn't flip when it landed the bottom mount for the lower controller snapped on the wheel hub. I then ordered a couple of those and the factory was on backorder......so I waited for about a month until I got my parts. Now today I jumped it a track and landed and snapped the diff cup and bent my front dog bone. Only GOD knows how long I'm going to wait for those parts. Is there any one who can help me find some heavier duty parts for this thing before I crush it with my real Jeep. Come on CEN all your customers need some advice on how to make these trucks last, and we need some hop-ups that will last for more than 10-15 min. Thanks Mark Denver, CO

some of the things you mentioned are normal breakage as far as nitro trucks go....bending steering parts and dogbonz is normal depending on how hard you bash.... If you look deeper into this forum, you will fiind a post discussing the diff cup mod... do it and you won't have a problem with the cups and the dog bonz.... as far as the wheel hub and the little plastic link on the bottom... the wheel hub is very hard to break.. I broke one at a skate park last year and thats the only one.... Do not get the new era arms.. you will break the frontand rear diffs they mount to... they are designed to flex........... lastly... you story sounds very similar to someone from i think wyoming also with jeep in the name......... his lhs stinks also... who told you the cen factory was out of stock?..... This truck makes a decent basher, but remember its smaller and is more of a racer.... if you abuse it too much, you will break parts.... I have mine for more than 2 years now and its still the best one I have.. I also own 4 others which I won't name as not to upset others here and dollar for dollar... nothing comes close......

I almost forgot... you said you were bending the dogbonz... what happens here is one of two things.... when the diff cup broke it bound up the drive shaft and bent/snapped the shaft... or its not adjusted properly... do you have the little spacer in each diff cup.. it takes up some of the play in the shaft..and lastly... is the suspension binding the shaft suring up and down travel... try to spin the wheels on all four corners while going thru the suspension travel range on the truck... hold it in the air for this... if you feel any resistance or binding, fix it... the pillow ball adjustments are good for this.... then reset the caster and camber and your good to go... I found this out after spending alot of money by calling cen racing an california and speaking with andy or mike.... very helpful... Now, the truck never breaks anything unless I crash really hard.... then again... all trucks will break if you crash hard enough....

If anyone wants some more power out your FunFactor MT2 Cut your front dogbonz right next to the hub and run it as a 2 wheel drive i did that after I broke the diff cup and that thing runs so much better and has alot more power.

the only problem with that is the truck is a handful to drive in 2wd... I tried this at the track and because of the set up of the truck, it spent more time sliding sideways or doing donuts..... the truck isn't any faster if you have it set up correctly... the drivetrain cannot be binding anywhere.. I ran my truck yesterday and was surprised how fast it still is after almost 5 gallons of fuel and the stock engine.. Nothing on the track was even close to it in monster truck.... It was almost as fast as the nitro rustler that my friend was driving..... he was a little faster on the straights,, I was better in the corners and jumps.....

I just found out lastnight that I bent my center dog bone. so im going to do that. I wrecked my truck pretty bad. Bent the chassis, broke my rear diff case, bent all my dog bones and quite a few other things so I got some work before I can even run it now.

what in the world are you doing with that truck.... I ran a few of my trucks yesterday with my son... some pretty good wrecks and with the exception of a bent steering arm... (on the t-maxx) no damage.... what did you hit?

My fiance and I were Running my truck at a bike trackby our house and I was jumping my truck around 15-20 foot over these jumps and these jumps a pretty big too. I think the biggest one I hit was around 10 foot tall. When I landed my truck flipped about 10 times end over end.then cartwheeled about 5-10 times

My truck is just stock but here are some pics from when I tried to sell it on E-bay.
It's not all that great. But then again it's my first nitro

I forgot what it looked like when they were stock....... rule #1.... if you take pictures, make sure its clean... especially if your trying to sell it.... anyway... my truck is a tank and I don't do 10-15 foot jumps.... and its not my first truck... no wonder your having problems... you need to get a bigger truck... (savage) if your going to jump like that..... or a smaller track...the truck was not designed for that kind of use... its more of a racer............................

The Fun Factor is interchangeable between buggy, rally, stadium truck and monster truck. This is why you have three different shells for one vehicle. The basic differences between the options, is gearing, A-arm width and wheels/tyres.
I would not agree that leaving your truck in 2wd is the best way to increase the performance, they handle much better in 4wd. The Fun Factor has a bad habit of bending and breaking drive shafts and diff cups. If you do a quick search in this forum, you will find a thread that shows how to do the diff cup modification. It basically involves reinforcing the diff cup with 10mm compression fittings or 'olives' as they are known. Doing this will toughen the drivetrain up considerably. Anyway, welcome to the forum and good luck with your truck, if you have any problems, everyone here is extremely knowledgable and will be only too glad to help.
