Since there has been very little information from users, either good or bad about the current updated Genesis, I am going to give feedback on my experiences with the new truck, so that other users can decide whether the truck is worth buying.
I will talk about how the truck handles, parts that break, modifications to the truck, my experiences with Cen Racing customer support, etc

I picked up my new Genesis yesterday from my local dealer, it appears to have all the updates that the GENESIS 46 special edition ( due in June) has except for the SANWA / Airtronics MX3 FM radio.
I purchased the truck, roto Tech starter, SuperNova 250S battery charger, 2 1100mAh hump pack batteries for the truck, and a 1500mAh battery for the Roto Tech.
The manuals are in full colour and are of a high standard, though the included manuals and the manuals on the Cen Racing website do not show any of the updated parts. I emailed Cen racing customer support today about this issue.
The glow plug charger takes 12 hrs to charge so it will be tomorrow before I fire the truck into life.

Had a few troubles starting the truck first time, turned out that I had to wind the idle in 4 full turns before the truck would start and idle.
I am running 20% Nitro in the truck.
Ran the truck through 7 tanks of fuel at idle, letting the engine cool down completely between each tank, by the 7th tank the truck would start first pull.
Started the 3 tank breaking in process, rolling the throttle on and off, and leaning the engine out.
Found that the truck was hard to start if I leaned it out a quarter of a turn before starting, but worked fine if I ran the truck for a minute or 2 before adjusting.
On the third and final break-in tank, I was about half way through the tank and had the throttle about 1/3 open when I heard a small bang and then a ricochet noise and the truck ground to a halt.
The engine was still running but the gearbox was locked up solid. On closer inspection it appears that the centre diff may have failed. (The centre diff does not have the lock-block installed).
I took the truck into the local dealer to see about getting the truck repaired under warranty, the dealer removed the gearbox/centre diff (the distributor wouldn't let me do it and wouldn't let the dealer dismantle the gearbox/centre diff) and the complete assembly has been sent to the distributor in Sydney for repair.
It is going to take at least a week to get the part back and I'm going away next week, so it will
be the beginning of July before I will get the truck back and can put it through it's paces.
Hopefully the breakage was caused by a faulty part or assembly in the factory as I would be very concerned if the standard part could break under such a light load.

Mine runs great and their is more people then me who loves the truck. I haven't had any problems with my diffs (yet). So keep the gen and decide later when you have spend some time with it. Then you will know if you want it or not.
Sorry to hear about the center diff problem. I hope you will have a great time with it when you get it back in July

I am pretty sure your center diff did not go. The new Genesis diff is vertualy indestructable, something that can not be said of the savage. anyways what probably happened was the truck was switched into reverse/forward while under power. Since Genesis is not built with a slipper any movement of the shift lever will cause teeth to break in the center trans, locking up the transmission. It sounds like either user error or frequencies got crossed. I love my genesis, have had no issues, and would definately recommend one. Just make sure it is in your skill level.

Hi,All the Genesis trucks that are being sold right now are 100% with no problems at all.
i sell these trucks at our hobby store and they are very good value for money and professionally made.
You cannot compare a Genesis with a savage, they are totally two different trucks,CEN is
improving this truck all the time.
If anyone needs help or spare parts for this trucks, just let me know
and i will be happy to help you at all times.

Got back into town on Friday and picked up the truck, 3 gears inside the tranny had lost teeth and one of the shafts got bent.
The Australian distributor said it was from changing directions under load, but I don't believe that I did this, though I did change directions on one of the earlier tanks of fuel, just before the truck came to a complete stop, so I may have done some damaged then and it subsequently failed 2 tanks later.
Put the last break-in tank of fuel through the engine and then took it out on Saturday, had problems with the new nimh batteries that I got on Friday not charging fully so only got to have one run.
Went out on Sunday and just after starting driving the truck, I had a runaway, engine went to full revs, managed to turn the truck around and stop it with my foot, all 4 wheels madly spinning, after wrestling with the truck for a while I was able to pinch the fuel line and shut it down.
When I checked the throttle\brake servo, I found that it has stopped working altogether, plugged one of the other servos into the electronic failsafe and it worked fine.
So back to the dealer again on Monday to try to get Warranty on the servo.
