I would like to throw in a request for a 2wd nitro powered stadium truck (a racing st). Your MT2 has brought home victories that speak for themselves, and at the rate of finishing with the Matrix in A-Mains, its showing that ya'll are going somewhere fast in the industry. Heck, even the Genesis is showing up in the A-Main more often.
If anyone else can come up with something that would be spiffy on a "CEN RACING 2wd st", please add. I am trying to compile ideas. This would be a whole new model, completely different from the FF series.

Although you say it should be completely different from the FF series, surely the JT Racing chassis is the ideal platform to start the project from. I would agree that the diffs and outdrives may need to be completely new, but there are elements from the FF that could be retained.

We are are going to be competing with our 2WD ST later this year again. Its the 4WD ST converted to 2wd, but it is FAST.......
Last year's Roar Nats, Andrew was on Adam's tail the whole time with a RTR..
We have many talented drivers joined us in the past month or so and we are looking to show everyone what our truck can do.

Just thought I would bring this thread back to life. A local track has just announced they will be running a 1:10 Stadium truck class over the winter. I am thinking of putting together a single speed 2wd Fun Factor to enter in this class. Is there any chance of posting the set up of the factory stadium racer? Things like gears (brand and size), wheels and tyres, clutch set up, shocks used and anything else that may prove useful in the setting up of the truck. Thanks for any help.

Scouser, Try e-mailing Andrew directly he is the one that drove those trucks.
I would suggest a single speed setup with a 14 or 15 tooth pinion. The 15 tooth is stock on the ST.
30-40wt shock oil, Losi silver springs (3.8lbs spring?) these will mainly depend on the track conditions.
Losi taper pins in the rear and stadium tires up front or the Traxxis Jato tires.
Run the arms level to get the center of gravity as low as possible and lighten up the chassis as much as possible.
An upgrade that would be worthwhile is to replace the bushings in the servo saver with bearings. They use the same size bearings as the clutch bells. This will improve steering response.
I do know that on the race trucks they used a single speed setup and the plastic single speed hub to save on weight.
Here is some links that I have that you might be interested in,

rolland, thanks for those links mate, they are brilliant. Got the bearings sorted, just looking for little inside tips really. I don't know how the truck is going to do against Losis, RC10GTs' and MST-1 racers and could use all the set up help I can get!! I'll let you know how the truck progresses.

Just read through those links again. That is a brilliant article that guy wrote. Does anyone know what happened to him? Is he still posting anywhere or was that a one-off kind of thing? Either way thanks again for the links mate, they will prove to be very useful in the coming months.

He used to be a regular at wildhobbies but I haven't heard from him since rcu purchased them.
It is unfortunate that there is no contact info on the site.
I did a quick search and found his home page, http://ccsnetworking.com/catchinhell/MotleyCrew.html

Got a question for everyone (including CEN), will the titanium pivot balls #CTS07 fit in the Fun Factor hubs or are they specific to the CT4 range? Thoughts? I am trying to keep the weight down as much as possible on this thing!

Well whet do you know! They are the same part numbers for the CT4 hubs and the Fun Factor hubs. Looks like we've found another hop up for the FF.
