Unfortunately its something you need to check and tighten on a regular basis. Its not an isolated incedent, it happens to all trucks. It really need to be included in your regular maintainence check of the truck.

The piston and sleave (in Aust) cost $170.00. Not sure about what they will cost there but also consider just replacing the engine.

its not bad enough for that to be replaced motor as whicked compression still just u could tell when the motor waz gettin hot. i dont no for sure about were u live but if the motor gets to a certain temp down here u can watch the power drop and as soon and i heard it stop reving up i shut it down right away and checked the temp at 270 pretty hot for that big motor but i found and tried to correct the problem and i dont know if i said it or not in the first post but the pin waz jamed it had to be forced out it had gotten jamed in its hole sum how and wouldnt move causen worse problems in the removen of it which when i say that i mean it bent it in and the metal is to soft to rebend it back in place

ps i aint very wish with the genesis so u maybe right about the piston and sleeve just to clear that up

You can get a new carb. main case for 45.00 at ehobbies and a carb lock nut is 7.00.

If the truck is still under warranty you can contact CEN and see if they will repair or replace it.

Any way you can post a pic. I am not that familiar with the Genesis part in question.

The warranty is 60 days from the date purchased. But they do have some leeway especially if it is a small inexpensive part.
Try contacting www.customRCcars.com
They probably have an exploded view of the engine/carb and could tell you if the part is available separatley or not. I can't find an exploded view anywhere for the engin/carb. and without a part number finding it would be almost impossible.

To post pics click on the reply button in the upper right hand corner of the post you wish to reply to and then click on upload.

Here is another possible inexpensive solution.
