Its a tough question you are asking there. The Genesis is a huge beast of a truck, weighing in at around 17lbs, it reall does dwarf most of its competitors. The design is excellent and the bugs have been worked out so the truck is now also very reliable. The Genesis owners who frequent this forum have only good things to say about their trucks and the racing versions seem to be hard to beat. If there is a downside, it would have to be independent manufacturers not making compatible accessories. Trucks like the Revo, Savage, Tmaxx, Losi LST and MGT etc, have an endless array of hop up options from all sorts of different after market brands, the Genesis is slightly lacking in this area. There are some options, like New Era Models, Hardcore Racing and RC Solutions but there is not the variety that some trucks enjoy. It may only be a small matter but I thought it was worth highlighting anyway. Argaubly the best reason to get a Genesis is the knowledge base you would be tapping into on this forum. Very few rc owners know and love their vehicles like CEN owners. Hope this helps.

But as far as aftermarket parts go....what does the genesis really need? I'm a basher, and i say nothing. The truck is solid. and yes,. it dwarfs most any truck, infact it's bigger than any other 1/8 scale i can think of. The truck rocks. Not the fastest, but it does fly. If i had the money i would buy 2

I have had mine for almost a year now. It still runs great, no problems with the engine bearings. I don't race my truck I just bash it. Do you really want such a big truck as the genesis. I do like the size and all that, but if you don't have the space to run it, it ain't fun.
I do not think you should have any problems with the quality CEN did a great job their.

I didn't mean that the truck 'needs' any hop ups but since when did that stop people from individualising their truck. Its things like uprights, wheels, driveshafts, gears etc that if/when they break. you only have the manufacturers replacement as an option. Not that there is anything wrong with the CEN replacements but its always nice to have choices. Like I said though, its only a small matter.

I have had the genesis for about 2 months now and i love it. I do live in the city but have a great park next to my apartment, other then that i have found some great construction sites at night i can play around with. The genesis is huge, I really don't think it needs the upgrades but its all up to the owner i believe.
