I believe the wheel axles are 8mm and the dogbone conecting to the wheel axle is 10mm. Not quite sure what the hex size is.
Hey I see your in Fallon, If your ever in Reno area and you have a MT then we should go bashing.

Thanks for the response I was pretty sure that the axle size was 8mm but now I need to know what the hex size is.
any way where do you go? and what do you run? I have a small pretty tame track at my house I have tmaxxs right now but am looking at buying something bigger and badder in the next week or two.

It looks like no stock of GSS06 (2ea 23mm adaptors) at www.headrushhobbies.com or www.customrccars.com either however I see GS217 1ea 23mm Wheel Hex at [link=http://www.customrccars.com/product_temp_trial.asp?id=1667&cat=21&custom=0]www.customrccars.com[/link] it is listed as a replacement part for the Nemesis, should work on the Genesis.

htlal, have you read about the genesis on the web and still consider getting one? I`ve had the genesis and had nothing but trouble, no fun at all. the drivetrain broke several times, so did the internal parts in the gearbox. the engine is one of the worst in rc car industry, no way it has 5 horses but it has plenty of airleaks. the pullstarter is crap and very expensive to replace. mine had useless radio gear, leaking shocks. it didn`t go anywere near the claimed 80 kmh. one tire was glued the wrong way on the rim. I got my money back at my lokal hobbyshop when I finally gave up and took it back to them. I know the genesis have been upgraded to some extent, but the engine, shocks, pipe and most other stuff is still the same. it all stinks! My advice is to stay away from those big cen cars(the nemesis is just a little different from the genesis) here in norway a fg monster is only a little more money, say like 100 bucks more. dont know how it is in usa, but I suspect it`s much the same there. dont buy the genesis unless you can afford to loose those money. good luck

I do have some questions for you!! Where do CEN claim 80 km/h ?? I haven't seen it! ( not on their web site anyway)
I have had my gen 1 year and 4 months now and the engine still runs great easy to start and has alot of power after about 3 gallons. My shocks does not leak, no problems with the internal parts in the gearbox but the drive train broke one time but that was my fault. I used the telescopic shaft to the rear diff and it broke . If you had drivetrain problems did you have your center diff locked?? If you had it will wear alot on your drivetrain.
if you are reading in CEN forum and monster truck forum you will see that the Gen Le has alot of good reviews and most of the people like them.
So again sorry to hear all your problems.

thats great jadda. maybe they have finally gotten it right. I had the 3 generation I think. Isn`t it the 4rth generation out there now? well anyway here in norway it was adverticed to do 80 kmh and leave all other in the dust.I did not have the centerdiff loced. both the front and rear diffs blew before I had finished the breakin of the engine. A buddy of mine also bought a genesis same week as I did, and he had the same problems as I did. even the external hardened metal gears broke. they were litterally gone, only the aksel they were mounted on was left. the steel was brittle as glass. I think the fg monster is much better even thoug it also has its issues.

http://www.zertuchegroup.com/nitro_t...en_genesis.htm just did a quick searc. read the top of this page. it says the genesis will reach topspeed of 50 miles= 80 kmh. I`ve read that claim many places on the web, and believed my genesis would be fast, but my 26 picco savage was way faster

As you can see http://www.zertuchegroup.com/ hasn't been updated since 2004 11 sep and zertuchegroup deceived people for money ( they took my preorder money for the gen). You should not believe them.
But as you say the gen isn't the fastest monster out there but it have an equal top speed to other trucks if those trucks are stock.
My gen is also a 3rd generation.
I think CEN has come along way since you had yours and hopefully improved their product and quality.
My lhs has a FG and yes they are impressive, but as you said they have their problems.
I'm glad that I bought a Gen and CEN is getting my money when they are releasing the pro kit of the matrix.
Still sorry for you and your friend

The engine on my genesis just froze up when I was driving it. I'm running it rich, it took over fourteen seconds for the spit on the engine head to evaporate. Any ideas what's wrong with it?

The engine is about 2 and 1/2 months old, but I did follow the instructions for "breaking it in," although I didn't measure the temp. It was working O.K. since the break in, (stopping occasionally, but maybe because of the mixtures?) but I was running it fast when it broke. I read that the sleeve in the engine is tapered, so if the piston is stuck, is there a way to push it down into the wider part of the sleeve? Or, do I need to rebuild the engine, replace the piston and sleeve, and break it in again? Also, if it doesn't need rebuilding, can I do something to expand the sleeve to its proper size so that this won't happen again? I don't think that the engine broke because it was too hot, because of the "spit test."
Thanks
Thanks
