Hi
I got my Matrix ARR today!!!!!
I will post pics and info about it later this evening. It looks awesome!!!
I really want to have my engine now so I can start break in. But it's not near break in temps here and it will not be for another 2 months.

Here are some pics.
The setup sheet is much better then that one on CENs website. So far i'm very pleased with the buggy. I was surprised that CEN included flywheel, clutch, clutch bell and clutch springs..they also included linkage to throttle and steering. All that was very GOOD. Good job CEN!!
I will start to take it apart after the weekend just so I get to know it and do a check up on all the screws and that.

If you plan to race with it I would get the caster blocks for the front and all the toe-in/anti-squat plates for the rear of it. I bought the hardened spur gear for mine. I broke 4 of the stock ones since Xmas. I plan to buy the steering knuckles, all the lower suspension plates(front and rear) and the 13-15t pinions.
The car looks sweet without the stickers and stuff, and clean too. I went to the track two days after the snow melted off here. I haven't been able to get the wheels and wing to return to the nice white they were. They are reddis/brown now. LOL

Thanks badSN95
When you say Front caster block do you mean MXS19? I'm very new to buggies but have experience with nitro trucks for about 3 years.
I will be upgrading the car with option parts when the stock one breaks, but I do need to buy some options right away I know I'll be needing them when I race.
Thanks for all the tips
What part do you need to stock?
A-arms of course, but what else?

MXS12 + MXS14 are the caster blocks. They are the same part but have different angles for steering adjustment.
I would stock A arms, different size pinions, a set of diff gears, stock or pro spur gear( I haven't had a problem with the spur since I got the PRO) and a wing and maybe mounts too(mine are still on there but barely)
I really haven't broke anything that wasn't my fault.
I broke center diff gears twice but I think they weren't shimmed right. I broke each of my steering knuckles(one had a loose bolt which caused the failure, the other broke from impact with the front stretch wall)
The servo saver broke because it was too tight from factory(I replaced it with a custom made aluminum one).
If I think of more I will repost.
I can't wait for warm weather here. I have been to the outdoor track and it was sweet. The local indoor track isn't big enough for the speed of 1/8 buggies. Supposed to get big snow on Sat.-Sun. I have to get some paddle tires to play in it.

Sorry badSN95
I meant MXS 12.
What will the different angels do on the caster blocks? will it give me more or less steering, traction?
I just orderd some option part for my matrix. I ordered MXS28-30 and MXS24. I also ordered stock a-arms upper and lower.
It's expensive to order option parts
but I know I'll be happy with them.
Thanks for all the help I really appreciate the help.

Yeah I do not like snow either, we have about 50 cm snow that's 20 inches of snow and the temp is right now -10 celsius thats 14 fahrenheit. We will not have any good temps for driving or break in an engine in the near future.
But during that time I can screw a lot on my matrix and order option parts

I ordered the lower suspension mounts for my car last week. Hope they get here soon.

No I haven't got my engine in!! I didn't get any screws for the engine mounts with my matrix ARR, I got screws to secure the engine to the engine mounts but not to secure the engine mounts to the chassis. That's weird?? !!!
So I have to order a screw kit!!
But I have some new pics with the pro kits, I also ordered MXS014 last friday...I hope I will get it next week! I also bought a setup kit on my LHS

Hi BadSN95
Yeah it's still clean
I will not break in the engine before it's over 0 degrees here, I hope that it happens soon. We are going to have a winter race at the end of this months, so I want to break my engine in before that and do some testing.
Looking forward to see the new thread with the gearbox problem.!

Here's some new pics.
I got some used tires from a friend just to break it in with, I hope I will be able to break it in this weekend
We are going to have a winter race here at the end of the month. The surface is going to be packed snow and ice, so if anyone has a good setup for the diffs on this kind of surface I would be appreciated!
I'm think on this setup, Front 100000, Center 100000 or locked, rear 2500-5000. Very light oil in the shocks.
Thanks
Jadda

Hi irenaslavo
I used Miracle, I bought it at my LHS for 695 Swedish kronor it's about 87 dollars.
I got my other option parts I ordered last week MXS14 from headrush.
Here's some pics on them mounted on my matrix.
I really like the looks of them, nice work CEN with the option parts.

Hi Jadda,
Thanks for your replay, do you thing it is useful to adjust your buggy?
Also would you please mail me the web site of the shop since I'm leaving in France, I found model Hundy but with double Miracle the price of
I believe your buggy is very nice specially with option parts which looks solid and elegant, have Ofna with Nova Rossi engine , it is good model and with the support or rc universe I manage to tune it and now it extremely fast.
do you have idea about Cen CT5 on road model, I believe this model is fast and good for racing, I'm thinking to buy one.. what is you opinion.

Hi irenaslavo
yes I think it's very useful to adjust my buggy, because now you now what angle you have and not just guess what it is.
Yes the Miracle is half the price compared to hudy. I do not know if he ships international so you have to email him and ask.
Here's a link to his web shop where you will see the miracle setup system.
http://www.umearc.se/cgi-bin/article...3&subgroup=268
If you have any question to him, you can contact him on this email address
[email protected]
I would like to see a pic of your buggy so upload one.
I do not have any idea about the CEN CT5, but I think it would be a great on road racer. Do a search you will find a lot of info on the CT4 it's the same car as the CT5, but the CT5 has dual speed.
Just ask if you have any questions and I will try to answer

Thanks gentlemen,
I also thinking the same, it is useful but systems existing in Paris for large scale only, I will mail the shop see if they can ship it to Paris or not
Attached pictures of my models, the latest are the Ofna SST blazer up left side with Nova Rossi engine, I build 75% but I didn't complete it yet since I'm very busy for the moment .
The one up on the right are pirate special edition , it unique deign model since it have flooded chassis and all parts are in white color. With this model you don't worry about push throttle or make break during jumping, just bush full throttle and it will adjust her self for accurate and nice landing. If you are interest I can send you close picture to see how it looks like.
I race large scale models also I race my buggy on and off road, in buggy I just change the tires to HPI road rage buggy tires and down the chassis by 1/2 cm and buggy are ready for racing.
The 2 cars down are Kyosho super 10 center shaft , and Kyosho belt driven , they are nice models…. I tray the BMW, it is very very slow that why I didn't touch the Porsche and I'm looking for fast racing car most probably the CT5.

I visited London several time and I like very much specially in the summer , people are very friendly and respectful, I don't know hobby shops their and I will appreciate if you can recommend one for me.
