Well took the truck out, and flipped it, the air filter came off, and the carb sucked in a ton of baseball field dirt [

]. Stopped the engine, and tore it apart. . . sleeve and piston look rough, and the connecting arm is worn and the bottom from the pile of dirt it was grinding in. I dont think the motor will run again so now i am looking for a new engine. OS 18 CV-RX is the one that i need right? What else do i have to do to make this engine work in the FF?
Thanks in advance

I think i paid 109 for my OS .18 from tower hobbies and got it in like a week in Canada. Make sure you DON'T get the CV-RX(s). The S is a longer shaft or something that wont fit.

Good point michelob78. . . .but I bet for the registry she is gonna want practical things. . . like kitchen stuff or some crap lol
I need to get a job a part time job at my LHS that way i wont spent as much time breaking the truck, and when i do break it i get a discount. . . of course though they dont carry CEN racing stuff. . . .but they do have things for my RC10 lol

I got my OS engine for about 130 bucks CAD including shipping. It came in about a week!
I have not installed it yet but it looks SWEET!
I have seen them on ebay go for 80 bucks...a few I saw were the CVRX(S) which is the short shaft so watch out. Also the CV-R is the same engine as the CVRX but with no pull start. I came across that too so be careful!
Now I'm just waiting on my clutch shims to come in!

Thought i'd just ask ya the same question, as i'm clueless at replacing/getting parts myself, you say an O.S .18 CV-RX ABC engine is a straight swap for the engine I got in my FF ST2? There'd be no need to buy extra parts i.e engine mounts, exhaust etc...

Yes.. as long as you get the rotary carb pull start version... the only thing you will have to do is shorten one of the header bolts by about 1/4 inch thats the hardest part....
