I have the NOVA and crazy nut head.

Nova: didn't run cooler then stock, is smaller then stock, but it's nicer.

Crazy nut head: Runs a lot cooler then stock, is bigger.

So I don't use the nova head any more.

The stock head is so massive, I can't imagine needing an aftermarket other than the Bling .. anyone having heat probs.

i did have temp problems with the stock head, after about half a tank the engine started get really hot. So that's why I got an aftermarket head also the bling factor of it

My settings are 0,5-1 turns in on the LSN and 3-3/1/4 on the HSN and never had temp problems with the crazynut racing head.

You might be getting a "half tank lean" condition, escpecially if you do your tuning at the beginning of the tank. By the time you reach the end it is alot leaner, do you notice more power at the end of a tank? Ideally you want to do the tuning at 1\2 tank, that way in the beginning you are slightly rich... the middle is perfect.... and slightly lean at the end of the run.

Thanks for that michelob78 !

I know I had the "half tank lean" condition because at the end of the tank I had awesome power so I could just tune it at half tank and run rich at the beginning, but I don't want to run rich at the beginning. With the new head It only runs rich for about 1 min or something then it gets up to a good temp and keeps it there, at the end it's slightly lean bit not much.

But as you said you can keep the stock head and tune it at half tank and you will not have any temp problems.

Thanks
