running temperature and wheel free movement?
Hello....i have a magnum nx and i have a couple of questions
first..regarding motor temp...the manuals states that this motor should run around 220 F...is this idle temperature?...or is it the maximum temperature at full throttle?
At iddle i'm running at 200 F or so...and when i give full throttle for a few runs i end up around 260 F..is this ok?
About the wheels..i noticed that the rear tires have some free movemente sideways...and this causes a lot of vibration at full throttle...is this normal?...i checked the linkages and found that one screw was a little loose...i fixed it...but the movement is still present....i mean...without moving the wheel hub i can move the wheel and tire about 1/8 th of an inch...this seems bad for me since this generates a lot of shaking and vibration at high speeds....this is true for all the wheels...
thanks in advance for your help....

260 is OK, but I would try and not get it too much hotter. Check your temps after high speed passes. For the excess wheel movement, make sure your wheel nuts are tight. You can also put an xtra 10x15x4 bearing on the inside of your wheel hub. This may help take a little play out of the hub.

the optional metal hexes for the wheels seem to secure them a bit better than the plastic ones too, and wear much slower - the extra bearings are dead cheap on ebay, well worth it too.

260 is the top of that motors heat range. If it were my engine I would bump the high needle OUT 1 hour until the temp came down to around 220-235 F.
