Hi, there.
I have installed the high speed belts and pulleys and have tuned the engine to run hot as I can. Now, my question is I don't hear the shift point anymore like I did when I ran the track speed belts and pulleys. Also, sometimes when I am stopped I hit the gas and the engine sounds bogged down and other times I hit the gas and get a responsive action out of the car. So is my two speed transmission out of wack. I have heard of other cars having problems with the two speed locking up in the high speed range of the transmission. Could that be why my car seems bogged down at times. I have the clutch shoes set on the transmission to factory settings ( 3 1/2 turns out).

take the transmission apart and make sure those two tiny ball bearings are in place under the allen screws on the clutch. sometimes if you take it apart those things can fall off and theyre tricky to get back in. if theyre not in, the wont come out of first gear, or they could be jammed under there somewhere locking it into second gear (which would explain the bogging). hope this helps
