Default is my cen ct4s stuffed or not??

well yea ive got this cen ct4s and there many problems with it so can someone help.

problem number one is that if i start it the engine will only idle for about 30 secs but then stop unless i rev it ( is this normal), plus ive seen that the idle screw is all the way in

2. after like 5 mins of use if i keep reving it at full , the engine will cut off or if i let go of the throttle the engine will also cut off, is this due to overheating<
also i have tried to tune it but its taking ages and the engine still stalls,

other problems is that that that there is smoke coming out of the cooling head, and some fuel (from where the glow plug is,
and also if i dont use the car for like 1 week, the car doesnt move until i rev it alot and then it starts to move slowly and gains speed later.

so can anyone help please... does anyone know some default tuning seeting i can put it in
thx again

ok i will try and help you.ok the car will idle for 30 seconds and then die i would say thats fine it just the bottom is a little rich and the motor is filling up with fuel causing it to die just blip the throttle ever 10 seconds or so to clean it out. and the reson it keeps dying could be worn motor. tuned incorrectly and yes getting hot to lean on top. how old is the car. check the bolts int your cooling head and see if they are tight you could be getting a air leak that will make any engine run bad.and for the moving part if it sets up a week and wont go its probly incorrect tuning. first check all your bolts around cooling head, carb and the back plate and then get it running let it get to running temp and then tune it if this dosent work let me know what its doing.

Have you changed your glow plug that usually causes that sort of erratic behavior

Your car has a plethera of issues with it. The engine idle for 30 seconds is fine. On nitro engines you will need to blip the throttle to keep it running. This is normal.

# 2 and 3 are linked. If oil and smoke are coming out of the glow plug hole, either the glow plug is loose, or the head is loose. Both should be checked. This leak is causing the engine to run lean (HOT) and shut off. This is not good. Running it for too long like this can cause permanant damage to the piston and sleeve (but dont worry you can replace those for cheap.)

soz for long reply but yea i found out that the piston skirts , welll some of it is missing lol, it happened cause i jammed the piston with the end of an tooth brush to get my cluth screw out due to that the fly wheel was loose, , have to buy a new piston and sleeve for 70 bucks or more (well i guess it was about to break so yea , the engine internal is still very good, btw how do you get the sleeve out, it only moves a bit cant take it out fully

the problem with the car not moving was due to a loose flywheel, i need to get new adjusting shims

It is tricky to get the sleve out but it can be done. At this point since you no longer care about the sleve, grab the top edge with a pair of plyers and rip it out of the top of the block.

Take care when replacing with your new one...I knew it was a user error!
