A little bit of information for the U.K. based CEN owners. If you wanted to race your Fun Factor/Magnum etc this year, the BRCA has included a 1:10 scale class open to either 4wd or 2wd trucks with any size (small block) engine! There will be a race season at tracks yet to be announced but I will keep everyone updated if you are interested. If possible, I will be campaigning the Fun Factor at these races.
(and finishing last no doubt!!)

I believe it will be 1:10 stadium trucks. So basically, 2.2inch wheels with Stadium truck tyres, small block engine, and a stadium truck body. I am not sure how strict they will be on the body style though as the whole format is very informal and the general idea is for fun. I was hoping to use the Beetle body!!

It does in deed sir! Actually, I have just found out that you can race big block aswell!!! Could the OS.30 powered Frankensteins' Monster of CEN trucks be making its' racing debut? I believe they included big blocks so the Schumacher boys can have a go aswell!
As for when and where, that is to be announced yet. I will post the dates up as soon as I know them.

As a best guess, I would have thought Maxbashing, EMORC, J28 and NNRC were all likely candidates to host one of the rounds. I'm afraid I have no idea about dates though.

Lol, no... the .30 isnt suitable for racing.
The 18 would be a real goer though! No idea what a tracks like to run on, I only know the beach and construction sites... [sm=red_smile.gif]
Im veru interested tho - no limits on mods, ie driveshafts, shocks etc? jus 2.2" wheels are required?

As far as I know there are no limits on mods at all. The idea is to open the class up to everyone rather than the usual Losi V Associated battle
There are loads of 1:10 scale trucks on the market but the owners have nowhere to race them. I am unsure of the exact rules onwhells and tyres but I would have thought that 2.2inch is a pretty safe bet for inclusion. I know the Jato uses uniquely sized wheels but I am sure they will allow that truck to race aswell. There is a general relaxing of the usually tight BRCA guidelines so if you bring it, i am sure they will allow it to race. These new rules are designed to allow a huge influx of new racers who were not allowed to race under the old rules.
The tracks I mentioned would be extremely tough on trucks so my initial thoughts were to run the stock FF chassis with the N.E.M. roll cage, GS buggy shocks and a nice new engine. Smoother tracks would allow the use of 1:10 scale shocks but certainly Maxbashing and NNRC are brutal! I broke two shocks within two laps last time I raced at NNRC [

So... whats the plan?
.18 cvr-etc
13t pinion, 47t spur
proline holeshots?
tmaxx shafts
2wd of course
and a hord of red n yellow FF shells?
I reckon between us, we could maybe do some damge. Cenracer could be a good resource for racing tips - and where the hell is Rolland? Cmon, we are gonna need all the help we can get!
ps - Scouser is a Scally, not a Sheep Worrier.

2wd really? Man you are very brave!! .18cvrx is being watched on ebay at the moment! Gearing would probably be for a dacent top end on NNRC with a pipe to boost acceleration. Tyres kind of depends on when the dates are. Muddy track would mean Dirt Works for me but dry track and I will either have Bow-ties or Lugnuts on. Definitely the ARO towers and buggy shocks but possibly the JT will make an appearance! Futaba S9402s' all round and a newly painted shell plastered with CEN stickers. That set up would be enough to worry any class, I mean you are talking well over 40mph which puts you up with the Truggies in terms of speed! Wealest link as always, is the driver.
WALES?!! I can see the Welsh mountains from my doorstep but that is about as close as I normally get! The South of England has a wealth of tracks. J28 is so called as it is just off junction 28 of the M1 and the Maxbashing track is probably the best in the country. EMORC is the Essex track and is astro turf with a huge tabletop jump. These are just guesses though, I might be way off. I will see if there is a short list of candidates.

Take pictures and post your CEN Racing car or truck! We would send everyone stickers but we don't have any left after a full year of RC shows!
We order stickers and shirts once a year in January so we should have more then.
If you have videos or pictures email them to [email protected]

Well it looks like NNRC is a definite. There are plans already getting made for the organisation of the classes. Maxbashing is a pretty safe bet also as that is where the organising chairman races. Updates to follow.

Might be worth contacting Ripmax to see if they would be interested in sponsoring the events and perhaps offering up some prizes? I mean CML and Helger sponsor regional races let alone national events!!
