Default BREAK IN QUESTION

HELLO EVERYONE !!!!!!!!

JUST BOUGHT MY NEW GST 7.7 AND I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF TRYING TO BREAK IN THE MOTOR..........I JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF IT WAS NORMAL TO HAVE TO LEAVE GLOW PLUG IGNITOR IN PLACE WHILE THE ENGINE IS BEING BROKEN IN?????
EVERTIME I REMOVE THE IGNITOR IT FLAMES OUT....I REPLACED THE GLOW PLUG TWICE AND ITS STILL DOING THE SAME THING???

IF ANY IDEAS I WOULD APPRECIATE IT

THANKS JOHN

yes its normal but you should not have to leave it on more than a min. 1 cause it will blow your igniter 2.you engine not running right[8D]

check your idel scew mabey your idel is to low

how many tanks have you had through it?

low needle is too rich. Do you also have raw fuel coming out of the exhaust ?? or puddles of oil/fuel residue ? Try leaning the low needle and see if that'll fix it. Don't lean it too much tho till you have broken in the engine, just enough to keep it running w/o glow driver...

Neriyah Is Absolutely right!!! Lean out just enough to keep running without glow igniter and remember to turn in 1/8 of a turn Increments.

In Fact the N-tune Dial would be great for this job. It can be found [link=http://rchardware.com/]Here.[/link]

well first off would be carefull with gettin advice from Headrush???
can barley tune his own stuff let alone help anyone else???
trust me i see him at the tracks all the time?? 15 been running like 6 months? and can barley get around the track???

theres a few motor fourms here in RCU they have some very good advice there as well....
but sticking to the Instructions is the best advice......

and you can run it with the ignitor...may burn the plug..but during break in this is not uncommon.
with the amount of people on the planet there are way to brake in a motor???
so i stopped giveing advice on this subject........
