I'm having trouble finding out what replacement part I need in order to replace this pin. It is the pin that goes into the cylinder rod hole and catches on the groove to start the engine. I have some pictures below.
It is the NX-76 engine.

Bruce, Welcome to the forums...... I see you decided on a used Genesis line of trucks. good choice but used was a gamble as you see here. That is going to be a hard part to find alone[
] But if go to eBay and look for Jenny's RC(They Seem To Be The Olny Ones Tearing Down The Engine For Parts Right Now) Store and ask them if they have that part they should be able to help out. They are good people, I have much from them.
You could also find the appropriate sized drill bit(Be Sure It Is The Hardened Type) and cut a little piece of the end of it, clean up the burrs, and reassemble.
I hate to say it tho, by the looks of those parts I would suggest a new motor all together, the motor doesn't look to bad, but with that much tarnishing inside I would say that engine has seen better days, but thats just my Honest Opinion. You can usually pick up a new engine on eBay for about $100 if you look carefully.
Good luck, I hope this helps
EDIT: I will get that part # when I get home this evening if you still need it...

Thanks for the info. The truck was running pretty well the last time I had it out (a couple months ago). I did buy it used though. I'm not too familiar on what to look for inside an engine to see if it needs replaced or not.
