Hi there, I may be the unluckiest guy in this forum. My engine head stripped where you put the glow plug. I cannot screw anymore glow plug. My engine is almost brand new and it got only about 1/2 gallon in it.
Is there anything i can do ? IS there any warranty for that. I bought a matrix buggy RTR from amainhobbies in june.

TRD,
Nice so you finally found one eh? Let me know how it goes..
Hey back to the topic at hand, sounds like just a stripped button, you can pop the stripped one off the head and just replace it, did it strip while the motor was running, or have you moved the piston since it stripped?
There could be small bits of metal in the cylinder so you're going to want to clean those out when you have the head off, anyone have any tips on that?
Good luck!

sounds like a repeat problem . i once had the same thing happen to my nemesis and it was still new from the box i only unscrewed the glow plug out 5 times before it stuffed up the thread ... seems like the same old problem continues over to the gst 7.7

From what I've heard the button in the head is made of Aluminum and it's a softer metal then the steel glow plug, so it's easy for it to be stripped out. Even while unscrewing the glow plug I always take my time and make sure I do it straight, and a little squirt of WD-40 before removing the plug helps clean the dirt away and keep the threads clean (thanks for the tip TRD) so when you go to re-install the plug it's easier to feel the threads and not cross-thread it.

If it's the NX26, then I am afraid that the head button can't be replaced as the heatsink is still a one piece unit on that engine.
The TR28, TR28 (SH Version), NX76, GST 7.7 engines all have a removeable head button. But the NX26, NX15, and NX18 (16 as well) these engines do not.
