Hi all,
I just set the gear mesh using a piece of paper in between the gears on my Matrix and I noticed that when I spin the wheels by hand the grears make a deep growling noise that I didnt notice before this. Is this normal or a sign that I have them too tight or loose? Heres what I have both the clutch bell and the spur gear are cnc steel and the clutch bell is brand new, the spur gear was not changed, but showed no signs of wear. Thanks for any tips you can provide.

Thanks everyone who replied, I rechecked and found that the gears were a little too loose, pushed them together a little tighter and now the noise has pretty much gone away.
