is there any body on here that knows the answers to these questions? (im sure some body has already asked these questions before but im new to the forum and havent had time to look through all the pages and hunt down my answers)
1. how fast does the matrix accelerate?
2. how porwerful are the servos it comes with? so i know if i should upgrade them soon after i get the car and get the feel of it
3. is there some article or website where i can learn almost every little detail about the matrix? (and i mean every itty bitty detail.)
4. is the engine the rtr comes with easy to tune and break in?
5. .........................i completely forgot what my 5th question was....oh well it'll show up sooner or later.
thank you all in the CEN racing support forum.

1. Pretty darn fast and with the new SH. 28 even faster. Good times. I am thinking 3.5 g's to the tenth power.
2. The stock servos are OK but not awesome. 144oz of torque I think. They could for sure be worse. Get the most out of them and use a 6 volt receiver pack and not AA batts. Upgrade when you can.
3. www.cenracing.com is pretty darn good. This forum, the 1/8 buggies forum, read the reviews on the CEN site. Mucho info.
4. The older NX-26 engine was a pain in the arse to tune and keep a tune. The new SH .28 is a great engine and holds its tune well.
5. The answer is yellowish.
Good luck!

Yeah, the NX-26 is garbage. Make sure if you get the RTR that it comes with the new SH .28 engine, as they're pretty darn good. I've had very bad experianced with the NX-26 engines (I own 2) and when I got a new LRP .28 for my savage, i put the K4.6 from my savage in my buggy, and it's been a dream ever since. I really should send in one of my old NX-26 engines to Cen for the trade up replacement. The buggy will be extremely fast that's for sure. That SH .28 should push it very nicely.

cool, thanks guys, i have a redcat racing tornado bb and it has an SH .18 on it and it is so easy to tune and is really fast, SH must try hard.
the SH .28 is the blue one and the NX 26 is the black engine right? i dont want to get them mixed up.
i remembered what the 5th question was, but it wasnt yellowish
5. how are the stock tires and dish wheels?

1. The Matrix is a fast buggy, especially now that they ditched the NX-26 for the SH 28. If you are considering purchasing a CEN Matrix, then be sure to double check that you get the newer version with the SH engine and cross pins. I have still seen new Matrix RTRs floating around with the old NX-26.
2. The servos are strong but slow. Take the advice given by Mattyb13 and run a 6 volt hump pack. Upgrade the servos when you can.
3. You can go to CENracing.com website and click on Downloads then scroll down to Racing Tips/Set-ups. There you can read the set-up sheets of Gene Hickerson and Andrew Smolnik to see how they have their buggies and truggies set-up. You can then fine tune the set-up to suite your driving style. Also there are a lot of CEN Matrix owners on these forums who will be willing to help if you ask.
4. From what I hear, the SH .28 engine is a good mill. You should seal the engine properly before break-in to help avoid tuning issues.
5. The stock tires and wheels aren't too bad. If you are going to race then I think you may want some tires that will provide a little more traction. If you race, ask some of the regular racers at your track what tires they are using and see how they perform. Then buy a set or two and give them a go.
I hope this information helps. The CEN Matrix is a great buggy and I hope you have as much fun with yours as I have had with mine. Good Luck
