question about dsx controller

can i put in recharglbe batterys in it and charge them through the plug i see that is on the back of it? if so what kind of plug can i use to charge them up or do i have to keep taking them out? also my numbers when i put on the controller are where is says NO. is 0 and the v is flickering between 10.0 and 9.9

You need the charger that comes with Futaba TX:

The DSX radio can really only be charged with a trickle charger like the one above, I tried charging my son's with a charger specifically designed for quick charging TX and RX batteries and I kept getting a "voltage too high" message on the charger's display. For $20 the Futaba will work fine and is compatible with many TX jacks EXCEPT JR ( it will fit a JR but the polarity is different). Of couse always check the TX to make sure the pin is (+ )and the ring is (-). The above charger will work with Hitec, Airtronics, Cen radios, Associated radios, some HPI and OFNA RTR radios etc.
